Initial Meeting

An initial meeting is offered at our cost with no obligation on you to take up our services. This meeting may be offered either at our offices, at your home or business or online depending on your location.

By the end of the first meeting we will explain the nature of the work we will do for you and an estimate of fees that you should expect to pay.

Advice Fees

Our typical fees are set out below which you see will vary depending on the complexity of the advice and work involved. By the end of the initial meeting we intend to give you an idea of the level of advice fees relating to your personal situation and requirements.

We can also work on an hourly rate for our advice. Hourly rates can be found below.

We will always tell you exactly how much you will need to pay before you agree to proceed with our services. The agreed fee may be paid by invoice or deducted, with your prior consent, from any investment or pension product if one is implemented for you.

We charge separately for financial advice and the implementation of the advice. Typical types of work and the fees we would charge for each are set out below.

1% fee = £2,000 implementation fee

If you would prefer for us to work on a time/cost basis our hourly rates are as follows;

Financial Planner – £210

Technical Analyst – £95

Financial Administrator – £65

All fees may be subject to VAT should our recommendations not result in the recommendation of a regulated financial product(s).

Should we undertake research and analysis work on your behalf, but you decide not to take up our recommendations, we reserve the right to charge you a fee to cover our time with a minimum fee of £500.

Ongoing Financial Planning and Advice services

We have two ongoing service levels; ‘Financial Planning Service’ and ‘Guardian Service’. A description of what you will receive for each service is detailed below.

Financial Planning Service

As a minimum this service will include at least one face to face, web, or telephone forward planning meeting each year which we will contact you to arrange. Our meetings will typically include a review of your circumstances and arrangements in light of the changing economic, investment and tax environment. The following core services will also be included:

  • Life Planning – Discussion and thought provoking questions to identify what is important to you so your finances can be aligned accordingly.
  • Financial Modelling – Where appropriate we will use financial modelling to help you achieve your personal and financial objectives.
  • Investment Strategies – we will review your needs and investment risk to ensure your investment strategy/portfolio remains appropriate, make any changes necessary and review the performance against your objectives and financial model/life plan.
  • Tax Planning – We will use tax incentivised savings vehicles to ensure you pay as little tax as necessary.

We typically charge a minimum fee of £2,500 per annum for this service.

Guardian Service

You are entitled to periodic reviews either face to face, via web conference or by telephone. Our meetings will typically include a review of current situation, your objectives and an update of our fact find. The following core services will also be included:

  • Investment Strategies – we will review your needs and investment risk to ensure your investment strategy/portfolio remains suitable and make any changes necessary.
  • Tax Planning – We will use tax incentivised savings vehicles to ensure you pay as little tax as necessary.

We typically charge a minimum fee of £1,800 per annum for this service.

Please note, if we agree to cover the cost of ongoing advice by charging a percentage of funds under management, as the funds grow and the value of your investment increases, so will the charge applicable. Alternatively, we can opt for a fixed monetary fee or retainer.
